Laboratory Services
Effective health care is based on medical evidence and the Munson Army Medical Center laboratory performs the tests that provide much of that evidence, that ensure your good health, or find the problems that threaten it. From initial sample to final result, the Munson lab provides caregivers medical information that supports your health.
Please drop off your outside provider lab orders 24 hours in advance. Our lab staff will need time to research the correct orders to ensure that the results are processed and sent to your provider as quick as possible. This NEW process helps avoid wait times when you return the next day for the blood draw.
Surgical Patients
Medical lab work ordered by a network provider prior to surgery at a medical facility off post must be completed by a lab or “draw site” affiliated with the provider. If your network provider orders labs for an upcoming surgery, please ask them to provide the name of an affiliated draw-site for pre-operative labs.
Lab Results
The Laboratory staff is not authorized to release lab results to patients. There are three ways to get lab results:
