Physical Therapy

*NEW* As of 9 August 2021
In an effort to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 exposure to all clinic staff and patients while prioritizing mission readiness, the Department of Rehabilitation will prioritize Active Duty personnel and any patients undergoing post-operative orthopedic care to include DoD beneficiaries and retirees. The Department of Rehabilitation will continue to see all patients that are already under the care of Munson Army Health Center Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy in an effort to prevent the disruption of care. Special considerations will be given case by case. Referrals for all other beneficiaries, except for unique circumstances, will be deferred to the network.

Right of First Refusal

Munson Army Health Center’s Department of Rehabilitation has the right of first refusal for all referrals placed for physical therapy and occupational therapy including those placed by civilian providers and orthopedic surgeons. This means that physical therapy and occupational therapy care may not be deferred to a network provider IF the beneficiary lives within a 1 hour radius of the clinic, appointments for evaluations are available within 28 calendar days, and the referral requests services offered at Munson. If these criteria are met, patients may not be allowed to defer rehabilitative care to an off post-provider even if requested by the referring physician. Please call the clinic or call TRICARE with any questions.
