Laboratory Services
Effective health care is based on medical evidence and the Munson Army Medical Center laboratory performs the tests that provide much of that evidence, that ensure your good health, or find the problems that threaten it. From initial sample to final result, the Munson lab provides caregivers medical information that supports your health.
Lab Results
The Laboratory staff is not authorized to release lab results to patients. There are three ways to get lab results:
Any questions regarding your lab order should be directed to your team nurse. Call the appointment line at (913) 684-6250 and leave your question or private message them through the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal.
Surgical Patients
Medical lab work ordered by a network provider prior to surgery at a medical facility off post must be completed by a lab or “draw site” affiliated with the provider. If your network provider orders labs for an upcoming surgery, please ask them to provide the name of an affiliated draw-site for pre-operative labs.
Outside Lab Policy
Outside lab orders for beneficiaries seen off post may only be accepted if the order can be fully completed at Munson. We may not process partial lab orders, so if any portion of the outside lab order contains specialized testing unavailable at Munson, we will be unable to accept the order.
