Munson Army Health Center will be closed, Friday, June 19 in observance of the Juneteenth federal holiday. After hours and on federal holidays, beneficiaries may call the MHS Nurse Advice Line at 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273). Nursing staff who support the NAL phone lines can assist beneficiaries with non-life-threatening medical concerns and provide further guidance. Beneficiaries experiencing a medical emergency, such a severe shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, should call 911.
Planning ahead for prescription refills can help you avoid delays over the upcoming federal holiday. Munson Army Health Center — including the Pharmacy — will be closed Thursday, June 19, in observance of the federal holiday. Patients needing medication refills should activate and pick up prescriptions no later than Wednesday, June 18. After June 18, the next opportunity for refill pickup will be Monday, June 22. MEDPROS walk-in vision screening is available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and noon to 3:30 p.m. MEDPROS Vision Screening consists of basic visual acuity testing. This is a mandatory annual requirement for ALL Soldiers, regardless of whether you wear glasses or not. Please wear or bring your current glasses to all eye exams, vision screenings, and physicals.
Beat the summer rush! Munson Army Health Center is now booking school physicals for students entering Pre-K or Kindergarten in Kansas. Scheduling now ensures your child is ready for the school year and helps you avoid the rush after PCS season. Who needs a physical? Students up to the age of nine years new to Kansas schools.
