Now hear this! Munson expands hearing screening capability on Fort Leavenworth

FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kansas — Four Soldiers from Munson Army Health Center recently traveled to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, to complete specialized training and earn certification through the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation, expanding Fort Leavenworth’s capability to conduct hearing screenings that support medical readiness and environmental health.

Capt. Rebecca Paquette, a dietitian at Munson Army Health Center, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, reads product nutrition information at the commissary on post, Feb. 24. Paquette will be at the commissary March 3 and 5 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and the Post Exchange March 25 and 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to answer questions and share practical guidance on selecting foods that fuel the body for peak performance.

Fueling Readiness: Dietitians bring performance nutrition to commissary, PX

FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kansas — The Fort Leavenworth Community will have an opportunity this month to connect with registered dietitians – no appointment necessary --and learn how everyday nutrition choices support health, performance and overall wellbeing.

Munson Army Health Center strengthens Total Force Readiness though Annual Medical Processing

FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kansas — Munson Army Health Center supported Soldiers from the 329th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, based in Parsons, Kansas, by conducting an annual medical readiness processing event at Fort Leavenworth, Feb. 19, to ensure the unit remains medically ready to answer the nation’s call.

Munson Army Health Center Builds Ready Medical Forces Through Combat Lifesaver Training

FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kansas — Building ready and resilient medical Forces starts long before Soldiers ever deploy. Soldiers at Fort Leavenworth’s Munson Army Health Center are strengthening Army readiness by providing Combat Lifesaver training to members of a nearby Army Reserve Unit – equipping Soldiers with critical, life-saving skills they may need on the battlefield.

Munson Army Health Center builds defenses against seasonal flu

FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kansas — Munson Army Health Center continues to prepare its community for the upcoming flu season.

Julia Flores, a clinical laboratory scientist at Munson Army Health Center, was named Civilian Employee of the Quarter for the Third Quarter of Fiscal Year 2025. Operated under the Defense Health Agency, Munson is part of an integrated combat support agency, with a global team of nearly 130,000 civilian and military personnel serving 9.5million beneficiaries and supporting more than 700 hospitals and clinics in the Military Health System.

FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kansas — FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kansas – Munson Army Health Center named Leavenworth, Kansas, resident, Julia Flores as its Defense Health Agency Civilian Employee of the Quarter for the Third Quarter of Calendar Year 2025.

TRICARE issued a reminder Sept. 9 that a West Region referral approval waiver deadline is nearing. If you used the West Region referral approval waiver to see a specialist between Jan. 1 and June 30, 2025 and need to continue seeing that specialist, you’ll need to get a new referral to a network specialist before Oct. 1, 2025. TRICARE West Region Referral Approval Waiver deadline nears

FORT LEAVENWORTH, KANSAS — TRICARE Prime beneficiaries on Fort Leavenworth and surrounding communities who used the referral approval waiver between Jan.1 and June 30 and are still receiving specialty care off post using the waiver need a new referral before Oct. 1.
