Right of First Refusal
Munson Army Health Center’s Department of Rehabilitation has the right of first refusal for all referrals placed for physical therapy and occupational therapy including those placed by civilian providers and orthopedic surgeons. This means that physical therapy and occupational therapy care may not be deferred to a network provider IF the beneficiary lives within a 1 hour radius of the clinic, appointments for evaluations are available within 28 calendar days, and the referral requests services offered at Munson. If these criteria are met, patients may not be allowed to defer rehabilitative care to an off post-provider even if requested by the referring physician. Please call the clinic or call TRICARE with any questions.
